The Trezor Model T is an outstanding hardware wallet, though it comes with a higher price when compared to a smiliar product such as the Ledger Nano X. The Model T offers a high-quality, versatile device with a fantastic color display and build quality. The setup process is user-friendly, especially for beginners, as the software guides users step by step through the initial setup. Something quite important to highlight about Trezor, all their devices run software that is open-source and available for public audit. Companies like Ledger operate in a close-source environment making it impossible for developers to audit the code that runs on a Ledger device. Recent developments suggest excessive tracking of user behavior on Ledger devices and Ledger software. In addition, the introduction of Ledger's seed recovery feature has received a fair amount of criticism from the developers and the privacy community. While we like Ledger devices, we are concerned with the direction they are taking when it comes to privacy and transparency. With that said, we have migrated to Trezor devices only and recommend that users, beginners, or experts do the same.
